1 desirable o-kissaki (long kissaki) Japanese katana available. This fine Shinshinto sword would make an important addition to any collection.
This sword is signed. It was made by Sadaharu. This sword is also dated. The blade's cutting edge/nagasa measures 27 3/4” (70.7 cm).
This katana has a Silver foil habaki. The vintage shirasaya has a handsome dark, aged finish—with premium horn trim accents. The nakago is very rusty. In looking at the blade mune/spine, there are a few spots of pitting visible. So, it is clear that the sword was neglected for some years and allowed to develop rust—the blade polished beautifully leaving only a few pits on the mune, and a corroded nakago.
The blade is perfectly straight. The hamon and boshi are perfectly healthy. This sword is in fine polish.
