This sword is signed by Nobukuni Mitsumasa--a 30 pt. chujo saku smith in Hawley's. The blade is dated 1779. The blade measures 26 7/16" (67.2 cm) from the blade tip to the bottom of the notch in the habaki.
This is a beautiful, healthy blade with no age-related or quality issues--as a Shinshinto blade should be due to its relative youth compared to older swords. No flaws of any kind can be found in the blade. The hamon and hada are perfectly executed.
This sword was just polished. This katana has a new shirasaya, and new habaki.
This sword is in perfect polish. The hamon and boshi are perfectly healthy.
