1 antique 1700-1800's A.D. tsuka (handle) for a Japanese Samurai wakizashi sword. This fine sword tsuka would make an important addition to any collection--and would complete a fine Japanese sword that has no handle.
This tsuka is very fine. Both fuchi and kashira are iron with mixed metal motifs. The fuchi has motifs done in gold and silver. The kashira motif looks to be silver.
This sword handle measures 6 11/16" (17 cm) long. The opening for the blade in the fuchi measures 1 1/8" x 5/16".
This tsuka was used by true Samurai.
This will be a beautiful handle for a fine Japanese wakizashi. All fittings are perfect--just one little piece of same/rayskin is chipped under the silk handle wrap.
