1 hard to find early model Japanese Naval Dirk available. This is among the earliest of Japanese Naval daggers. This dagger would make an important acquisition for any collection.
This is the model 1883 (ca.1883) Navy dirk. It has early cutout fittings, and a fine sharkskin saya.
This dirk has a 7 3/4" blade, and measures 12 1/2" overall.
This antique Japanese Naval Dirk is in exceptional condition. The handle wire is complete. The fittings and sharkskin saya/scabbard are in excellent condition. The blade has darkened with age. And there are occasional flea bite nicks in the blade, and a dulled tip.
