1 vintage pre-WW2 thru WW2 Japanese Army Officer's katana sword available.  This WW2 Army Officer's shin-gunto katana would make a fine addition to any collection.

This sword is unsigned.  There is no arsenal stamp on this sword.  The blade measures 26 1/2" (67.3 cm) (measured properly from the blade tip to the notch in the blade spine).

This Army katana has a fine wavy hamon/temper line.  The old saya/scabbard is wooden with black lacquer.  The two sides of the wood saya were taped together by the vet.  The two sides just need to be glued. 

The handle wrap on this sword is excellent.  The sword fits perfectly in the saya, and has a nice secure fit at the saya throat.  This sword has a perfect edge--with no nicks at all.  The blade is in exceptional condition.  The hamon/temper line displays beautifully.  The blade is perfectly straight. 

The temper line and boshi are perfectly healthy.  This sword is guaranteed against fatal flaws.
