1 very early unused vintage Buck 184 Buckmaster knife. This knife was made just 8 months after the Buckmaster was first released! This knife was made sometime between July and Sept. 1985. This iconic Variation #3 Buckmaster would make an important addition to any collection.
Known as the 'PAT. PEND.' Buckmaster, this knife is stamped on the ricasso 'BUCK 184 U.S.A. PAT. PEND.'. The holy grail of Buckmasters.
The Variation #3 Buckmaster is detailed on pages 109 through pages 119 in Richard Neyman's reference book 'Buckmaster Knives--The Authorized History of Models 184 & 185'.
This vintage Pat. Pend. Buckmaster was never carried or used! The blade has some dried grease on it--which can be easily cleaned off with some WD-40. The Silva compass is present, but has a crack and does not work.
