1 U.S. World War 1/World War II Mark 1 trench knuckle knife.  This trench fighting knife was made in France for the U.S. Army, and is marked 'AU LION' on the tang.  The lion image is stamped just above the Au Lion mark.  This knife would make an important addition to any collection.

This knife measures 11 3/8" overall.  The blade itself measures 6 3/8".  'U.S. 1918' is marked on the handle. 

There is staining on the blade.  Note the original blackening present on the handle.  This original U.S. World War 1 / World War 2 Au Lion Mark 1 trench knife is an exceptional example.
