We allow a 3-day inspection period for purchases--any item you are not satisfied with may be returned in the same condition it was shipped to you in, within 3 days of receiving it, for a refund of your purchase price. Return shipping is paid by the buyer. If the item is not returned in the same condition that it was sent in (buyer cleans/polishes a sword, buffs a knife blade, oils a sheath, scratches or drops an item, etc.) no refund will be issued and the item will be returned to you. Simply put, do nothing to the item until you own it. No returns allowed after 3 days.
If a Japanese sword or dirk doesn't turn out as you had hoped during/after polish, that's life. It is not an acceptable reason for return. St. Croix Blades doesn't offer insurance policies. As an example, we don't go after the seller of items we purchased if we get a disappointing result, and neither will St. Croix Blades' customers.
If a buyer studies the item photos and condition description carefully, 99%+ of the items I sell result in happy customers.
